IEEE Student Branch University of Houston Clear Lake It was standing room only on Thursday, February 14, 2019 on Valentines Day, when the IEEE “Rock Your Career” Tour with IEEE express visited UH-CL IEEE Student Branch bring food, gifts and more important information on all of the IEEE resources available to national student branch members. IEEE Senior University Partnership Program Manager Kristen MacCartney and R5 South Area Chair, Christopher Sanderson were excited to be visiting the campus and facilitating the importance of college, career, and professional development. The students were very surprise to learn about all of the great resources and opportunities that they have access to as IEEE Student Branch members. One of the great research tools available to them through UH-CL Library is IEEE Explorer Library. The IEEE Xplore® digital library not only provides access to journals, transactions, letters, magazines and conference proceedings, IET journals and conference proceedings, IEEE Standards, IEEE educational courses and other technical leading publications. The students and faculty discovered additional information to help with their degree program and additional training resources on the latest educational courses available to expand their job search opportunities. The word search game shared by Kristen, really help bring the information to life and all of the different possibilities it can be used by the students and faculty. Special thanks to Dr. Hakduran Koc, IEEE Student Branch Faculty Advisor and April Reed, UH-CL IEEE Student Branch President, for coordinating and sponsoring our visit to University of Houston Clear Lake.
