Outline of the session Introduction Demonstration of the ISC leadership toolkit Unveil new phase 2 materials and functionality Your opportunity to shape phase 3 development E leadership programmes for ISC’s

Why has the toolkit been developed? In response to feedback from the sector To enable leaders to work at their own pace Encourage the use of e-learning & technology Provide CPD opportunities for managers Address changing landscapes Enable managers to be more outward looking

How is it be used? Induction New managers Personal Development 30 hours of CPD Organisational staff development plan Induction – Look at E & D module and how this is being used at LSIS both on a personal basis and within programmes by programme leads. New managers – both for managers new to ISC or education itself, who may be strong in management skill but lack the sector knowledge, or for newly promoted managers, who may have a great idea about the sector but lack the management knowledge or knowhow to be confident in their role. Show keeping up to date with policy – and inspection diagnostic, take them further in and show demonstrating quality as supporting resource. Personal development – take through CMI resources, which areas would you like to develop and how, visible and valued. 30 hours of CPD – take through notepad facility and mention update of notepad in the new year. Organisational staff development – plan against your users. Who needs to use what by when. What support will they have. How will you know that this has been of benefit.
