Standard Focus RL 7.3 - Analyze how particular elements of a story or drama interact Story Elements - Are the parts of story that make it work . All these parts interact and support one another. Characters- are the subject of a story. Those individuals who are experiencing the action and are part of the plot. They may be fictional or actual people from the past or present. Setting- Where the story takes place. Where all of the events in the plot occur. Including time, place, physical location, physical description and/or historical period. Plot - are the events in the story. Genre - the type of writing. Historical fiction - is a fictional story about actual events that occurred in the past. The characters are usually based on real people. But the interactions, dialogue and interactions may be fiction.

How does setting influence conflict? How does conflict influence setting? How do characters influence the plot? -These two elements are very closely related and usually interact a great deal in stories. - Often times, the characters in a story are effected by the physical location of a story like a storm, event, war, or other issue that could cause harm. - The characters actions are usually what drives the plot. The characters perform actions that signal other actions.
