SYNOPTIC REVISION TASK To create and write the perfect model answer to a synoptic question. Your question should be structured in the same way as previous past paper synoptic (section B) questions and should be worth 6 marks. Use your notes and textbook to help create the perfect answer.

Top Tips The synoptic question is worth 12 marks and will consist of a practical physiology and practical skill acquisition element. Always answer both separately – do not mix it all into one answer. Plan your answer first by quickly noting the key terms – answering the question will then be easy as you just change each word into full sentences. For each term make sure that you name it, define it, and then say how it relates to the situation (e.g. why it is advantageous in this particular situation). Remember that you will need to do more than just make 12 points to gain the 12 marks. To gain full marks you will need to give all of the key information related to the topic and also write it in a structured and effective way.
