If You Are The One (非诚勿扰) Fei Cheng Wu Rao, translated in English as “If You Are The One”, is a very popular dating TV show in China. It has generated much discussion and controversy since it first began, with some people saying that the show promotes bad moral values and materialism. In one famous incident, one of the women on the show said “I would rather cry in the back of a BMW than laugh on the back of a bicycle.” What if you were on this show? What would you say? What would you do?

If You Are The One (非诚勿扰) Questions: What do you think of this show? Do you watch it regularly? Do you enjoy it? Do you think that the show promotes a good or realistic dating culture? Does it have a good or bad influence on society? Would you want to appear on the show? Why or why not? If you do, what would you do or say on the show?

Homework Read the Text 7 and write your response to the text (about cell phones in school)
