Trusted Learning Environment (TLE) Application Results CFISD submitted an application for the Trusted Learning Environment application. The Trusted Learning Environment review panel requested additional information in several areas. Currently the Cybersecurity team is reviewing and updating our information for a resubmission. The updates are centered around the following areas: Expanding the information shared on the Cybersecurity website. Increasing policy development around our Data Use Policies, Data Retention Policies, Data Security Policies, and Software and Application Vetting procedures. Sharing additional information around FERPA, COPPA, CIPA, and PPRA with teachers, administrators, and parents. Providing additional training sessions for staff and parents. Each response was rated on a scale of 0 – 4. A score of 3 is required to indicate completion in each categorization. Although our team was disappointed to not receive the TLE seal, we are continuing to work on the plan we began in August, 2017. We are ramping up all efforts to ensure we have correctly articulated all that has been done to share the breadth of our dedication to ensuring all is being done to ensure the security and privacy of our student’s information.
