It has been a wonderful first week to the academic year, and it’s been a pleasure to catch up with staff, children and parents following the summer break.  We’ve already started work on our new topic “Around The World In Eighty Days”, which was launched by Mrs Meenowa and Miss Missous in assembly on Wednesday. I was very impressed with the children’s knowledge of flags from countries around the world. The children were all set a challenge, which is going to result in some really interesting artwork appearing over the next few weeks. I can’t wait to see it! Miss Robson is our new year 1 teacher. Mrs Brown is our new year 2 Teach First Teacher Miss Sidebotham is our new year 5 teacher. Mr Shaw is our year 6 Teach First teacher. Year 3 Free Meals! For the month of September all of our year 3 students will be eligible for free school meals! Why not take this opportunity to try a hot, healthy delicious lunch! Lunches will need to be paid for from October 1st for paying families. If you need assistance completing school meal forms please let us know and we would be happy to help. What’s On in our cafe area Monday – Parent drop in (9 – 11:30am) A drop in for any parent or carer to offer hot drinks, any support or assistance.
