Technical Coordination Tools and Guidance Shelter Cluster Philippines

Context Technical team developed several guiding documents to provide programmatic and technical support to agencies. The Recovery Guidelines and Build Back Safer tools were developed from the beginning of the recovery phase (Feb-March). These were an update of the initial existing guidelines which mainly focused on the emergency shelter assistance. The process of developing these tools were facilitated by consultative and iterative process with agencies and government, promoting minimum standards on safe, adequate and appropriate shelter. These tools became the baseline for future recommendations and capacity building, enabling a harmonisation of the shelter response, promoting equity among shelter implementing agencies.
