State and Local Government

State Constitution They are longer and more detailed. It looks like the U.S. Constitution (Preamble) If a disagreement occurs, the U.S. Constitution PREVAILS Provides framework for state government Changing occurs 2 ways Amendment occurs in State Senate or People can change by referendum  TX- Humbly invoking the blessing of Almighty God, the people of the State of Texas do ordain and establish this Constitution.

Questions Police and Fire protection are the responsibility of local government. Granting licenses to doctors, lawyers and teachers are the responsibility of the State government.
