Question 1 How did the majority of South Waco parents rate their children’s health? Answer: The majority said, “very good” or “good” Very good: 48.8% Good: 43.9%

Question 2 When did the majority of these children last receive health services? Answer: Within the last month Within the last month: 50% Not within the last year: 7.5%

Question 3 Why did these children need healthcare? Answer: The majority were treated for sickness Sickness: 50.6% Check-ups: only 27.2%

Question 4 What are two places where they received these services? Answer: Hillcrest Clinic and Family Practice Hillcrest Clinic: 35.5% Family Practice: 18.4%

Question 5 How soon after contacting the doctor are the children seen? Answer: The majority are seen the same day However, 26.6% are not seen within a week

Question 11 How does the health of children compare to that of the parents in South Waco? Answer: Children rated “very good” and “good”: 70.6% Adults rated “very good” and “good”: 87.1%

Question 12 What is the major problem for women getting prenatal care in South Waco? Answer: Providers do not accept Medicaid 100% of respondents said that this was the major problem.

Question 13 What was the predominant racial or ethnic group of those surveyed? Answer: Predominantly white or Caucasian White: 59.2% Hispanic: 26.8%

Question 14 How many of the households surveyed do not have both biological parents present? Answer: 43%
