Why Planned approach ? To actualize Self-potentialities to the best To boost up Personal responsibilities To boost up Personal productivity

Personal mission 1. Who I want to be ? 2. What most significant things do I want to accomplish in order to maximize success and fulfillment in life? 3. What most significant contributions do I want to make in relation to different categories of responsibilities of life?

As states by Stephen Covey: Creating a Personal Mission Statement will be, without question, one of the most powerful and significant things you will ever do to take leadership of your life. All the goals and decisions you will make in the future will be based upon it. It will compass – a strong source of guidance amid the stormy seas and pressing, pulling currents of you life.

Judging Worthiness of Personal Mission and Goal WORTHY Wholesome Obvious Realistic Threat Harmonic Yearning

W – Wholesome How rewarding is it? How conducive is it to total well-being, growth and development? How well it conforms to the social norms, morality and ethics. Is it anyways detrimental to others, society or humankind? If so, how? O- Obvious How explicit the anticipated results? How vivid its merits? R - Realistic How practicable is the endeavor? How reasonable the endeavor as per available and obtainable capabilities, resourcefulness? How appropriate is the endeavor in prevailing situations and condition?

T- Threat What’re the hurdles that might encounter? Is there possibility of occurring hazard? What measures would be possible to tackle the hurdles and hazards? H- Harmonic How well is it fit to personal values, interests preferences and vision of life? and/or How well is the endeavor fit to organizational motto, vision, mission and ethics? How well is the endeavor complementary to duties and responsibilities? Y - Yearning How intense the desire to achieve the endeavor?

Personal goal setting Career- What level do you want to reach in your career, or what do you want to achieve? Financial - How much do you want to earn, by what stage? How is this related to your career goals? Education - Is there any knowledge you want to acquire in particular? What information and skills will you need to have in order to achieve other goals? Family - Do you want to be a parent? If so, how are you going to be a good parent? How do you want to be seen by a partner or by members of your extended family?

Personal goal setting Artistic - Do you want to achieve any artistic goals? Attitude - Is any part of your mindset holding you back? Is there any part of the way that you behave that upsets you? (If so, set a goal to improve your behavior or find a solution to the problem.) Physical - Are there any athletic goals that you want to achieve, or do you want good health deep into old age? What steps are you going to take to achieve this?

Why personal goal setting ? Setting goals gives you long-term vision and short-term motivation It focuses your acquisition of knowledge, and helps you to organize your time and your resources so that you can make the very most of your life By setting SMART goal, you can measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals. This in turn contribute self-confidance – helps believing on your abilities and potentials

PAR cycle :Planning - action-review Cycle We all are habituated to apply PAR whatever we do – think, behave , perform Nothing can be performed efficiently without mindful application of PAR cycle PAR cycle is applicable to in activity, task, goal, project, mission, day, week, month and year, period of years Thus , PAR cycle can well be recognized as the Cycle of Accomplishment

Day-planning -Day-reviewing ; Annual Planning -Annual reviewing are proven tools of self-development and project management

PAR Cycle : accomplishing a Goal/Project Aiming Why ? Output and outcome? benefits? Quantity and Quality of output and outcome ? Time of completion? Phases ? Critical Process aspects to be maintained ? Planning Mini goals/sub-projects Requisites - fund, resources, capabilities, skills, technologies Master plan : Route map , Scheduling major tasks Action : Execution of master plan Review : Periodical + Final Task Review: How satisfactory the results- outputs, outcomes, benefits achieved? Process Review: What went well? What went wrong? What to repeat in future? What to improve upon in future and how?
