What Family Care expects… Consumer Home Policy What Family Care expects…

Home Policy… At no time shall an employee bring any individual to the consumer’s home without first obtaining permission in writing from Family Care. At no time shall an employee remain at a consumer’s residence after the designated time of care approved by Family Care without first obtaining written permission. This will lead to disciplinary actions which may lead to termination.

Home Policy… (cont…) At no time shall an employee bring any pet to the consumer’s home without first obtaining permission in writing from Family Care. At no time shall an employee consume any food or drink from a consumer’s residence without obtaining permission in writing from Family Care. If a consumer asks you to eat with them be polite but decline the offer. Remember, most of these consumers are on a fix income.

Break Time at the consumer’s residence… If you are going to be in a consumer’s home for 2-4 hours ensure to take your break before or after the shift. If you are going to be in the consumer’s home for 7- 8 hours, discuss with the consumer a time that would be ideal to take your lunch or break. While you are taking your break/lunch ensure the consumer is safe. If you have any questions please call the office.
