April 20, 2019 1957 The largest Bulgarian distillery for production of rose oil launched back in 1957. It had a distillation capacity of approximately 65 m3 and it is being managed nowadays by Galen-N Ltd. It is located in Zelenikovo village, Plovdiv region, Bulgaria. The concept for the distillery was based on a French project and design. History

April 20, 2019 1993 In 1993 an innovative plant extraction facility for production of concretes and absolutes was launched in Zelenikovo village. At that moment and for a long time after, it has been the only installation in Bulgaria of its kind. History

April 20, 2019 2001 Galen-N Ltd was founded in 2001 and quickly became a leading Bulgarian company on the essential oils, API’s and natural extracts markets. History

April 20, 2019 2006 In 2006 Galen-N Ltd acquired the production facilities in Zelenikovo village trough its newly established production company named Bul Phyto Oils JSC which was founded in the same year. This way Galen-N Ltd acquired not only the production facilities but also invaluable long-standing experience and know-how. History

April 20, 2019 2013 In 2013 the new GMP certified production facility was inaugurated. The investment allowed the company to become the only Bulgarian producer that offers essential oils in pharmaceutical quality. History

April 20, 2019 2016 Galen-N Ltd is constantly investing in maintaining and raising its production capacities. In 2016 the distillation capacity will be expanded with additional new 25 m3. History

Manufacturing and Products April 20, 2019 Manufacturing and Products The modern manufacturing facility is located in Zelenikovo village. It is GMP certified for production of cosmetic ingredients and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). It has 90 m3 distillation and 30 m3 extraction capacities. The companies are also BIO certified by the German company Lacon. The factory is GMP certified for production of API’s (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) by BDA (Bulgarian Drug Agency) and for production of cosmetic ingredients by EFfCI (European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients).
