Differences from Middle to High School Larger Campus No Lockers (except for PE) Late work rarely accepted for full credit Shift to student responsibility/self-advocacy with parent support Become more active in the community through clubs, sports, volunteering

Student’s Responsibilities Study in groups Contact teachers via e-mail when absent to get homework Make use of conference periods. (Wednesday and Thursday mornings) FREE after school assistance (Tues-Thurs: 3:45-5:15) Attendance Use of a planner to write down homework and due dates each day Organization: Be prepared for class and take notes! Stick to a homework routine Avoid cramming

Course Request Form Students were asked to circle their course requests, including elective choices Please ensure the prerequisite is met before requesting the class Course recommendations from current teachers are highlighted on the form Write in alternate PE class and electives (select different classes) If no alternate classes are listed, classes will be assigned

Students not attending Coronado/Wilson Please contact the IRHS Registrar, Kandi Clark, to schedule an appointment. This information can be found on the counseling website under the 2019-2020 registration tab.

IRHS Self-Guided Tour Students from the National Honor Society will be around campus distributing maps and answering questions. Classrooms are open and many representatives from departments, clubs, and sports will be located in the MPR to answer questions. Project Graduation and N.P.O. will be located in the MPR to help parents get involved and become part of our NIGHTHAWK FAMILY!
