May 2005 Liaison Objectives The UWB Forum is interested in industry and consensus standards as well as participating in the development of these standards, recommended practices and guidelines of the IEEE and related SDOs. We are interested in 802.15.3, 802.15.4 and their siblings i.e., .3a and .4a PHY proposals and .3b and .4b too We are also interested in 802.19 coexistence as well as 802.18 and regulatory issues that relate to worldwide UWB adoption. We are developing Test and Qualification procedures include forum certification, forum compliance testing, forum endorsed software applications stacks and how these value added services are received by industry and more importantly our customers.
