The Unit of Brescia is mainly devoted to Monitoring of outdoor and industrial areas, sensors (conductometric and optical) and Non-linear optics The Institute is well linked inside the Engineering University, and connected with the local industry (Brescia is inside the Lombardia Region). SKILLS OF THE PROPOSER Work that can be performed (Prototyping, Programming, System Integration, Dissemination, Engineering, etc) - sensing tests in a controlled atmosphere (gas species). - monitoring of relevant process and product parameters (physical and chemical). - microbiology lab test with electronic nose (analysis of controlled microbiologic contamination). - ad hoc numerical modeling of complex optical systems.
