Year 2 Spring Term Two How can you support your child’s learning?   Go over spellings from last term while learning new ones. Practise quick recall of your times tables (especially 2,3,5,10 x tables) Keep an eye out for information on Times Tables Rockstar, coming soon! Year 2 Spring Term Two Spring 2 Maths Division Fractions – finding fractions of a shape or quantity Measurement - Length and height English Description Non-chronological report Diary entry Information report Recipe writing Topic Where would you prefer to live, England or Africa? Computing Coding and Blubots and Probots The Arts ART Observational drawings African patterns RE Celebrations. Christianity Lent Easter Music Cold countries What’s the score The children are learning about Africa. Google images from Africa to talk about. How are parts of Africa different to us? How are they similar? Encourage your children to use neat letter formation and letter spacing. They need to make sure that all letters are sitting on the line and letters with a tail come down below the line and tall letters almost reach the top line. Please remember to listen to your child read at least 3 times per week. This half term, our homework has changed. The children have a sheet of six different maths skills which they must complete one per week. There are also 3 reading tasks.
