Playing with Textures

How you will be marked Process – mark making handout Drawing (your portrait) – does your drawing include a good amount of details? Colouring (textures) – are your textures effective? Do you include many different types of textures? Write-up Observation and Conversation

Write Up What types of textures did I include in the different areas, and why? Consider the face vs. the background, different areas of the face, shadows and highlights, etc.

Instructions Draw a face, animal, or object – consider things that have different highlights and shadows Draw a square grid USING A RULER – remember, the smaller the squares, the more textures you will need to use Fill in the grid using different types of lines to create different types of textures Needs to be in black pen (inky pens are the best) – no sharpies
