ASL Story- Project Assignment Please read all instructions carefully: This six weeks your project will be to gloss and sign a personal story in ASL. Each student will do a story independently. This assignment will be worth a 2 test grades and 1 daily grade. The exact number of daily grades will be determined by the amount of class time used for glossing. ASL 2 : You must write a story about a personal experience. (I.e. favorite vacation, special occasion, life changing experience)

Your first daily grade will be on January _____ when you turn in your typed or printed copy of the story. Signed stories should be 3-5 minutes in length. Stories will be due for performance on _____________________________. Failure to be ready on original due date will result in grade being lowered by 50 points.

Story Requirements: Daily Vocabulary Entries-5 or more words from this list at least 2-ASL phrases Unit 7 Clothing Vocabulary list 5 or more words from list Colors Vocabulary- 3 Placement of 2-4 people/characters describing what they are wearing. Use of a Person classifier and a Transportation classifier (Show Movement)

To do well on this assignment: Pick a story you like. Use lots of facial expression and body language. Know your story well. Use your time wisely in class. Meet all deadlines. Really get into your story and have the story memorized. You will not be able to look at your glossing sheet when you are performing. *** This assignment will be videotaped.
