Underestimation of the Resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to Second-Line Drugs by the New GenoType MTBDRsl Test  Jialin Jin, Yaojie Shen, Xiaoping Fan, Ni Diao, Feifei Wang, Sen Wang, Xinhua Weng, Wenhong Zhang  The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics  Volume 15, Issue 1, Pages 44-50 (January 2013) DOI: 10.1016/j.jmoldx.2012.08.004 Copyright © 2013 American Society for Investigative Pathology and the Association for Molecular Pathology Terms and Conditions

Figure 1 Performance of the GenoType MTBDRsl assay in comparison with DST and sequencing for detecting resistance to ethambutol (A), kanamycin (B), and ofloxacin (C). The two axes indicating the true resistant/susceptible rate and the false resistant/susceptible rate were crossed perpendicular to each other, with 0% in the center and 100% at the distal end, and the true susceptible/resistant rates and false susceptible/resistant rates of the MTBDRsl were connected. Blue line, compared with DST; red line, compared with sequencing. The greater the false rate, the broader the extent along the horizontal axis. Percentages reported in red indicate the sensitivity/specifity compared with sequencing. Percentages reported in black indicate the sensitivity/specifity compared with DST. R, drug resistance; S, drug susceptibility.
