Improving your Way of Working “Finding ways you can do things, rather than interpreting rules conservatively.” “You have to behave differently in different situations and you can’t stay the same. You have to change your way of working to achieve different goals. I now try to push for small nuggets that people can get their hands on.”

Achieving Change despite Cutbacks “Our confidence in taking action, in learning and in dealing with change- management situations has been developed . . .” “[The action learning programme] has helped me be much more confident in being at the table negotiating these kinds of things [resources for targets]. . .” Confidence is indeed needed in health and social care where feelings of vulnerability can be ingrained from talking straight in a blame culture.
