Reason’s for Electronic Posters 1. Cheaper & Easier to Transport 2. Easier to Display & Judge 3. Professional

Anatomy of a Scientific Poster Title: A well thought out title will attract views and will clarify the subject matter of the poster. Abstract: Make it very short; remember, the poster itself is already a condensed report of your work. Brevity is key! Introduction: When constructing your introduction try to keep it to 1-2 Paragraphs (150 words) Material/Methods: Cover the materials and methods used in your research process. Good place for images, charts and graphs. Results: Begin with initial summary of your results. 2nd paragraph describe what your data means. Conclusions: Briefly review your research questions and the results you obtain. References: Cite all references. Acknowledgments: Acknowledge people who have helped your with your work. Less is more (400 words max.). Be selective when deciding what images, charts, and graphs make it onto your poster!
