Birds have a pair of legs and a pair of wings.

Birds lay hard –shelled eggs for reproduction.

Most can fly.(except for the ostrich, penguin and emu).

The only animals that have an outer covering of hair

The only animals that feed their young with mothers’ milk.

Have backbones

Most give birth to live young (except for The platypus and anteater which lay eggs).
