DNA Ch. 7: The Human Genome Why did the scientific community decide it was a good idea to spend 3 billion dollars sequencing a humans DNA? Describe some of the challenges of getting the HGP off the ground. (Give at least two.) The HGP was a collaboration of many laboratories.
