REFLECTIVE WRITING Describe a personal experience Express feelings about it Give your reaction to it (REFLECTION) LOOKING FOR INSIGHT (show you realised something, really thought in depth about the experience has meant for you)

Tell the reader HOW you felt – before / during /afterwards Include feelings and reactions throughout REFLECTION usually comes at the end - should look back on your experience and reflect on it LOOKING FOR SELF-AWARENESS: must show you are aware of your own feelings and reactions and understand WHY you behaved the way you did
