MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY Course Description 1. Define and provide several examples of word roots, combining forms, suffixes, and prefixes. 2. Divide medical words into their component parts. 3. Describe how medical words are formed. 4. Explain the rules for building medical words. 5. To analyze medical words, the student needs to identify the four elements that may be used to form words as said in 1. 6. Analysis of words will make medical terminology easier to understand and remember.
