Writing Targets 40-60 months I can hear and say the initial sound in words. Begins to write words and simple sentences. I have a comfortable pencil grip. I can link sounds to letters, naming and sounding the letters of the alphabet. I can write own name and familiar tricky words independently and from memory.. I can segment the sounds in simple words and blend Them together and know which letters represent some of them. I can write recognisable letters. I begin to write in meaningful contexts and to communicate meaning. www.earlybirdyeducation.com
