GOLD WARD: Key Contribution/Impact on the people A Holistic Approach To Environmental Excellence - MSE2 • Reputation secured through demonstrable Environmental Leadership • Adding value to the nation through collaboration (Beah, SQU, MOG, MECA, Ministry of Mining and water resources, Ministry of agriculture and Fisheries and Diwan of Royal Court) and deployment of risk based environmental management (PEMS deployment, and Integration of Permits are now replicated by others). • Proactive approach to emerging environmental challenges: streamlined advocacy and engagement in four major areas, air emissions, contaminated soil, permitting and borrow pits as well innovative collaboration with MECA by deployment of LEAN within Ministry. • Improved awareness of Environment within PDO staff by delivery of training to 3078 PDO staff through online EAT year to date. • Environmental Strategy delivered total savings of more than $ 201.8 Million Back

SILVER WARD: Key Contribution/Impact on the people Front-Line Supervisor (FLS Academy) - MSE1 The successful implementation of FLS academy in collaboration with Well Engineering showed the level of support and commitment from both parties in driving goal zero to the business. The benefits of the FLS academy were clearly recognized in both monetary and non-monetary values. Examples Significantly contributed to the improvement in UWD HSE performance in 2017 (compared with last two years data), reduction of: 30% in TRCF, 40% in High Potential incidents, and 15% in LTIF; improvement of 65% in Nearmiss reporting, 2 years LTI free in Completion and Well Intervention (CWI) and 1 year LTI free in Logistics. Cost and time saving for a similar workshop if it will be run by an external training provider. Leaders who have taken the responsibility of facilitating the workshop have become visible and role models of making the change. FLS has become a permanent agenda in the Leadership meetings and Drilling Supervisors' progression interview assessment The knowledge and skills of FLS facilitation are retained by the local nationals and not by external training providers FLS academy has gained a big traction and there is a pull from other directorates to join the academy. In 2018, it will be expanded to CPDM projects and it will be enhanced with the introduction of FLS-3 and FLM (Frontline Management) program” Back

BRONZE WARD: Key Contribution/Impact on the people Operation HSE Case Update for Bahja Rima, Nimr and Marmul Clusters – MSE4 The project was performed in-house (cost savings of 250,000 USD from 3 HSE case update) and completed in time.PDO internal resources and experience was used including learning opportunity for TSE graduates during workshops. As part of the HSE Case update, the Bow-tie, Safety Critical Element, Safety Critical Tasks were updated. Identified gaps and agreed actions were registered in PIM. Safety critical role alignment across Bhaja Rima, Nimr and Marmul was done and agreed with south operation leadership team.This will bring consistency in managing safety critical roles and process safety competency. Simplification of operation HSE Case (User focused, Compliance with SP-2062, Number of pages reduced from 250+ pages to around 100 pages). Operations and maintenance team engagement during the update and roll out of the HSE Case. Field Operations & Maintenance were able to contribute directly to their HSE Case. Back
