The class 1st class in the Integrated Math Path There are 3 Integrated Math Classes, then follows pre-calculus

Integrated Math 1 Extends and applies math from IM1 and IM2 Standards based on CCSS for Mathematics Number and Quantity Algebra Functions Geometry Stats and Probability

Integrated Math 1 Class time will focus on extending understanding of numerical manipulation to algebraic manipulation synthesizing understanding of function deepening and extending understanding of linear relationships applying linear models to data that exhibit a linear trend establishing criteria for congruence based on rigid motions applying the Pythagorean Theorem to the coordinate plane

Integrated Math 1 The book: Homework Each student gets a textbook and skills practice, the books are consumable The textbook will be used to supplement the class, students need to take notes. Homework The homework will come from the Skills practice book and is due the following school day.

(Open ended & Multiple Choice) Integrated Math 1 Grading: Weights: A B C D F 100%-90% 89%-80% 79%-70% 69%-60 59%-0% Formative (HW & Quizzes) Unit Tests (Almost weekly) Final Exam (Open ended & Multiple Choice) 20% 55% 25%

Integrated Math 1 Quizzes Tests Formative grade Affect the grade in the 10% category Help students see where more studying needs to be done Tests Summative grade Affect the grade in the 55% category Can be retaken only once after the learning targets sheet has been filled out

Integrated Math 1 Final Two finals, one in March (Midterm) and one in May Both are cumulative; they include everything we have seen through out the year at each point. Has two parts, open ended questions and multiple choice questions. Each is 25% of the overall grade for the respective semester.

Integrated Math 1 Retake Max 2 retakes per semester Unit tests can only be retaken once Learning target sheet must be complete All homework must be turned in Must be completed in one 45-minute sitting

Integrated Math 1 Academic Dishonesty 1st offence 2nd offence Student will be sent to talk with a Assistant Principal You will be contacted If the student completes the Saturday School & the SS assignment about honesty: May retake the test but will be considered late (50%) 2nd offence Student will receive a zero, without a chance to make up

Integrated Math 1 Students that make poor choices 1st violation: Verbal warning 2nd violation: If an object is involved student will be asked to hand over or set on teacher’s desk. Student may pick up item after class. Non-item related; students will speak with teacher after class. 3rd violation: If an object is involved student will be asked to hand over and item will be sent to the office. Parent may pick up item at front office. Non-item related; students will speak with Assistant pricipal.
