ASE education foundation NATEF AYES The ASE Education Foundation (formerly NATEF and AYES) works with over 2,300 automotive technology training programs and over 50,000 students nationally to provide the transportation industry a viable workforce through standards and credentials for institutions, organizations and individuals. The Foundation also offers career development and workplace exposure creating relationships and partnerships with employers. 4

Program policy changes Programs have a maximum of 12 months to complete the accreditation process Any program expired beyond 60 days must use the initial accreditation process One current Advisory Committee member may be selected as an on-site team member Team members for the on-site must not be associated with the program for the last THREE years or relatives of the administrator or instructor 6
Ase education foundation student career development (ayes) No changes, use portal to add and manage students Identifies, engages, and encourages those who meet student criteria to pursue careers in the industry Develops business and education relationships to transition students to the work-place or secondary education Creates internships and partnerships at the local level facilitated by the Field Manager network 7
Student criteria 8 Completion of one semester of an accredited program Completion of SkillsUSA PDP Levels 1 and 2 (or equivalent) Minimum overall GPA of C and B in Automotive Instructor’s recommendation Acceptable attendance and discipline record Successful career shadowing activity Minimum age of 16 by the start date of the internship Clean driving record Ability to pass drug screening 8 8

Allow programs to easily track their students and accreditation status in single online platform. Improved communication with school contacts. Ability to upload appropriate documentation for accreditation. Alleviate common challenges with scheduling on-site evaluations. 11
LOG-IN PROCESS 12 Step 1 Go to and click “login” in the top www.ASEeducationfoundation.org and click “login” in the top right corner. Step 2 Select the applicable option and enter your information. Step 3 Look for the e-mail that contains your login credentials. Go to www.ASEeducationFoundation.org and click “Login”. Enter your provided login credentials. 12
HOW TO GET LOGIN CREDENTIALS For those that have been accredited in the past or currently accredited, please check the “Send me my login credentials” option. If your program has never been accredited and are interested in becoming accredited, please complete the “I’m interest in accreditation” option. *Once you have completed the Existing User or Interested Registration, you will receive an e-mail notification containing your login credentials. You will then need to enter your information on the “Login” section. 13
Special feature – managing the accreditation process Once an application is submitted and Approved for an On-Site, click “Programs” button to view the Application submitted and complete the On-Site requirements. 14
Managing students To view a student’s qualifications, edit student’s profile, place a student, or remove student from a roster, click “Rosters” button. *This is now available to all accredited programs. 15
Managing employers To manage Employers and Staff, click “Employers” button. To edit an Employer address or add Staff, click “View” button. 16
