What core classes do I need to take? Math Science Social Studies ELAR Technology and PE credit

What is the difference in regular and advanced classes? Advanced classes move at a faster pace and require more organization, time management, and outside class time.

How many advanced classes should I take? If you meet all the requirements for advanced classes, it is recommended to only take 2 for your 6th grade year.

What is the difference in PE and pre athletics? PE class gives you the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities and is similar to PE class in elementary school. Pre Athletics is geared more towards athletics teaching you skills needed for middle school sports. If you want to play school sports, this is the class you need to take.

If I am part of the Take Flight program or a Gifted and Talented student, how does that affect my schedule? In middle school, the Take Flight program and the GT program is a class. It will count towards one of your electives.

How many electives can I have? Right now, we want you to choose your top TWO electives. Depending on the schedule, will determine how many and which ones you will get.

How many times can I change my schedule? None! We plan our classes and master schedule based on your selections. Only extenuating circumstances will a schedule change be granted.

What do I do when I get my course selection? Put your first and last name (PRINTED WHERE IT CAN BE READ) Put your lunch number (student ID) Put your home room teacher Turn it over!
