Content of the proposed regulation on CoD One transmission by MS to Eurostat: One file for residents (possibly with data on causes of death of residents dying abroad) And another one for non-residents dying in the reporting country Eurostat will disseminate data on: Residents (by causes of death, region of residence, age/sex) Non-residents who died within the EU (by cause of death, country of residence, age/sex (without country/region of occurrence)) Deaths by country of occurrence (by cause of death, region of occurrence, age/sex (without country/region of residency)) Meeting of the Directors of Social Statistics (DSS) 23-24 September 2010

Conclusion The DSS are asked to give their opinion on the two draft Commission regulations on: Causes of Death (CoD) Accidents at Work (ESAW) The main element for preparing the 2nd round is represented by the workshop that will be organised by the Robert Koch Institute in Germany, most probably in May 2010.
