Lovejoy ISD GATE 10 Services Kindergarten – 5 th Grade

Primary Program Kinder – 2 nd grade Focus is on themes and everyone who has met the criteria gifted are together. GATE 10 teacher is not responsible for grades in the classroom 3 rd – 5 th Math Focus is on subject area. Only students who have met the criteria as gifted in this specific area are in this class. GATE 10 teacher gives the grades. 3 – 5 Integrated Studies Focus is on subject area. Only students hav met the criteria as gifted in this specific area are in this class. GATE 10 teacher gives the grades.

Kindergarten 40 minute in class lessons by GATE 10 teacher once a week starting in September for every student. The in-class lessons last all year. In March, students who meet our GATE 10 criteria receive 90 minutes a week for the remaining school year.

First Grade 40 minute in class lessons by grade level teacher (or homeroom teacher)once a week starting in September for every student. The in-class lessons last all year. Students who meet our GATE 10 criteria are pulled out for 3 hours each week and taught by a GATE 10 teacher.

Second Grade 40 minute in class lessons by grade level teacher (or homeroom teacher)once a week starting in September for every student. The in-class lessons last all year. Students who meet our GATE 10 criteria are pulled out for 4 hours each week and taught by a GATE 10 teacher.

3 rd Grade Students who meet the criteria for GATE 10 Math will receive 90 minutes per day for 5 days a week by a GATE 10 teacher. The GATE 10 teacher is the teacher of record. Students who meet the criteria for GATE 10 Integrated Studies (Language Arts and Social Studies) will receive 90 minutes per day for 5 days a week by a GATE 10 teacher. The GATE 10 teacher is the teacher of record.

4 th & 5 th Grade Students who meet the criteria for GATE 10 Math will receive 90 minutes per day for 5 days a week by a GATE 10 teacher. The GATE 10 teacher is the teacher of record. Students who meet the criteria for GATE 10 Integrated Studies (Language Arts and Social Studies) will receive 135 minutes per day for 5 days a week by a GATE 10 teacher. The GATE 10 teacher is the teacher of record
