Aim:Why did the American colonies’ relationship with Britain sour? Do Now: Turning Point: a point in time when things begin to change; things are different after that point. Write down an example of a turning point from your own life and one from history. Be prepared to explain what makes them turning points.

Salutary Neglect Definition: Describes how England treated the American colonies for 150 years (since the founding of their American colonies). Definition: When England overlooked some rule breaking as long as they were making money from the colonies. They neglected the colonies, but in a good (salutary or healthy) way.
