Communication Speech, written words, and body language. Communication must be straightforward, understandable, and accurate.

One-on-one Group Setting Employees need to be able to act appropriately in a one-on-one or group situation. One-on-one Group
Growth Employees need to be able grow both personally and professionally. Goal setting helps monitor growth
Goal Setting Goal- Desired result or purpose. Long-term goal- may take a few years or even a lifetime to accomplish. Short-term goal- smaller steps taken to help reach the long-term goal. May take a few days, weeks, or months to accomplish.
Goal Setting Activity Ask yourself the following questions in order to think of some short-term and long-term goals. What would I like to be doing in 5 years, 10 years, or 20 years? What type of education or training is needed? What personality traits or characteristics may be required? What problems could prevent me from achieving a goal? What small steps can I take now to help me reach a goal? Have students think of one long term goal, and three short term goals to support it.
