This presentation demonstrates a tool which allows collaborative editing of documents. It is useful when working with others remotely or asynchronously and is of significant value to teaching practitioners both as a tool for collaborative work and when used with learners as a tutoring tool.
With a document open choose tools / track changes / highlight changes.
Check each box as indicated Check each box as indicated. Click on options to change the formatting of the tool
This dialogue box allows you to change the colour of the changes you make, useful if more than two people are collaborating
Highlight the text you wish to change and press the delete key on your keyboard
The text will change as indicated The text will change as indicated. The default format is red with a score through.

Changes are indicated by the dash in the margin of the page.
Moving the cursor over the change will show the details of the change based on the default settings of the local computer.
Click tools / track changes / accept or reject changes

This previews the document as if the changes were accepted.
This returns to the original This returns to the original. Note these are different views – changes have not yet been made
To accept or reject individual changes, highlight the new text then click Accept or Reject. To accept or reject all changes at once click the Accept All / Reject All buttons
