Step 1 Use inductive or deductive reasoning to construct a logical basis for your argument. Deductive: Major, Minor, Conclusion Inductive: Major question, at least four pieces of evidence, conclusion
Step 2 Develop your thesis based on your logic. Be precise
Step 3 Brainstorm what the other side of the argument would say. Come up with at least three points that you think the other side would make.
Step 4 Decide on your three points to support your thesis. State them clearly and provide at least one fact, example, or opinion for each.
Step 5 Write out a refutation for each of the three things you think the other side would say. Some may say However Therefore
Step 6 Choose three language and style devices that you could use in a conclusion. Write an example of each of the language and style devices that you chose.
