Second Grade September 10 - 14 Preston Pride Reminders Goals for this week: Math We will compose and decompose numbers to 120. I will use manipulatives to show given numbers to 120. Reading We will use multiple strategies to be word solvers. I will use an author’s words and what I already know to make inferences. Writing We will plan and set short-term goals to strengthen our writing. I will use verbs in the correct tense in my writing. I will set goals to challenge myself to write more and become a stronger writer. Science We will observe how matter can change by heating and cooling (adding or taking away thermal energy). I will change matter by heating or cooling (adding or taking away thermal energy). Social Studies We will Celebrate Freedom Week. I will learn about the history of our constitution and American government. Word Work We will decode words with the vCe rule. I will spell words with the vCe rule.
