C.) Mini-Lesson: Read the opening pages of Frederick Douglass’ slave narrative. Discuss and take notes (in the LA section) on Douglass’ struggles, predicted accomplishments, comparisons and contrasts to Washington’s Up From Slavery and your first impressions. Check out the books to be taken home in order to complete the homework. D.) Q & A/Reflections: What do you predict will happen next in Douglass’ narrative?
