MARCH GLADNESS The Joy of Life’s Experiences Sermon Series Part 2

John 4:7-14  (NKJV) 7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” 8 For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. 9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” 11 The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water?

12 Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?” 13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst

But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

We humble ourselves before God and give Him the glory He deserves Worship is a non-negotiable to the Christian life Worship is better experienced than it is to define it

Our Worship to God becomes: 1. The overflow of a grateful heart   1. The overflow of a grateful heart Psalm 45.1 (NKJV) My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Psalm 23:5  (NKJV)  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. My entire being gives honor, adoration, and glory to all that God is

2. The outpouring of my soul Ephesians 1.3 (NLT) All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. A heavenward praise is directed toward God

3. The occupation of my heart Revelation 4.11 (NLT) “You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.”

1 Corinthians 2.14-16 (NLT) 14 But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.  15 Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others. 16 For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts?     Who knows enough to teach him?”[b] But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.

cannot be evaluated by others. 16 For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ. Believers enjoy a “living water” experience with God
