STEPS in the research paper Step 1: Pick your topic- DONE Step 2: start researching- (should be done) Step 3: write your thesis- (should be done)

No thesis= failing grade WRITE A THESIS HERE!!! No thesis= failing grade Make sure to have a quote from your research. This is a RESEARCH paper, so this part MUST be filled out!

Again, this is a RESEARCH paper, so you MUST have a list of the sources you used. There must be AT LEAST 3!.

Let’s practice

Thesis: Cookies are the best dessert because you can eat them during any season, they are easy to make, and there are a lot of different flavors. 1st Main Point: you can eat cookies during any season Quote: “cookies are a staple dessert for any holiday or any time of year” (Betty Crocker) Explanation: Unlike ice cream, which is a summer dessert and pie which is more for fall, cookies can be eaten at any time. Wrap-up: Cookies can be served at any holiday party all year round.

2nd Main Point: Cookies are very easy to make. Quote: “Even the most novice of bakers can make a classic cookie” (Gordon Ramsey) Explanation: Cookies seem to be the first type of dessert that kids learn to make. Wrap-up: If a kid can make them, it must be an easy recipe. 3rd Main Point: There are so many different flavors of cookies. Quote: “I don’t know which flavor to choose because they are all so delicious” (Me in the cookie isle at the store) Explanation: Because there are so many different flavors of cookies, it is easy to find the perfect cookie for your taste buds. Wrap-up: If you don’t like one kind of cookie, you are in luck because there are so many flavors to choose from. Conclusion: Cookies are the best dessert. They can go with any holiday or any season. They are easy to make when you want something sweet. Finally, there are so many flavors that you are bound to love at least one of them. They truly are the perfect dessert.
