Agree/Disagree Statements “The First Murder”

My Brother’s Keeper Initiative Complex Video Kendrick Lamar Pay it Forward What does the initiative do? Why is Obama’s initiative called My Brother’s Keeper? Why is this initiative important to Kendrick Lamar and Terrence J?

Agree/Disagree Ground Rules Everyone will speak during our debate today. When a student is talking, everyone else is listening. If you are talking while another student is speaking, you will be moved to the other side and lose points for today’s activity. Do not talk over other students. Be respectful. Do your best to respond to each other, rather than echoing what someone else has said, or returning to a topic we have moved on from. If you change your mind, you can move to the other side. You must pick a side!

 Agree Disagree 

Sibling rivalry is inevitable.

The government should provide health insurance, housing, and food for those who cannot provide for themselves.

Jealousy always leads to negative outcomes.

A planned attack of revenge is worse than an angry, thoughtless attack.

Everything happens for a reason.
