Allegory A type of narrative in which the surface story reflects at least one other meaning. In a continuous allegory, the surface story refers to historical or political events and persons, and maintains the allegorical meaning throughout the narrative.

Animal Farm and the Russian Revolution Your job today is to research the parallels between Orwell’s story and the historical events and people that the author admittedly is representing.
