News Reporter Assignment Every class one student will be assigned as the news reporter of the day- no makeups so don’t miss your day! That student will watch the national news (NOT LOCAL) the night before for at least 30 minutes and report on what is going on in the nation- be specific and all-inclusive. The student must include the time, the T.V. network viewed (CNN, BBC, MSNBC), and the name of the actual program…. “The Situation Room”, “The Rachel Maddow Show”, “Anderson Cooper 360”, “60 Minutes” “Hardball with Chris Matthews”“The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell etc…) This student must prepare one page handwritten to present to the class and to be turned in for a grade (4 grades for presentation and 4 for paper). S/he should be prepared to answer any questions other students or the teacher may have.
