The children have really enjoyed researching the animals. We will choose one animal for our written projects. In Math, we continue with our investigations of teen numbers, grocery store math, shapes and their orientation, and writing 1-100. Special Guests: We enjoyed having several seniors and Mrs. Spahr, an US English teacher, on Wednesday as they listened to us read and we played phonics and math games. Mon. Day 2: Strings, Music Tues. Day 3: Physical Education, Art, Spanish Wed.: Day 4 : Strings, Music, Computer Thurs. Day 5: Physical Education, Science Lab Friday, Feb. 17: No school for students. Feb. 16 – Father/Daughter Dance, 6-7:30 Feb. 17-Faculty In-Service – School Closed Feb. 20-Presidents Day – School Closed March 2 – K hosts Monthly Morning Meeting The students should bring their valentines to school to deliver to their classmates’ valentine bags on Monday, if they have not already done so. We will open them during our class breakfast on Tuesday. Thank you to all the parents for donating food and supplies for our breakfast. You may send those items on Monday as well. 100th Day of School! With our snow day, our 100th day is now on Feb. 14. Please send in the 100th day projects on Tuesday. We will celebrate how much we love counting to 100! We’re curious to see your children’s creations. Thank you for your help with these projects! To Remember Grades were posted online Friday, January 29th. Conferences are not scheduled this grading period but we will be happy to meet with you to discuss your child’s progress and answer any questions if there are concerns. Library The children are starting to take Library books home. Please see the letter that Librarian, Anne Anderson, sent home with your child’s book and note the date that the book is due to be returned.
