Three Pronged Plan Virtual Collaboration Center (VCC) Wire Frame Training Development Tools Adobe Connect Matthew Kim M. Rahel Afua Kim A.

VCC: What are the Issues? Creating VCC is a problem of systems integration, performance support, and interaction design. How will users need to relate to the system? What tasks do users need to perform, and how are these tasks structured? What tools, materials, and resources will the user interface supply, and how will these elements be organized?

VCC: Design Approach A usage-centered design process will be applied. The usage-centered design process is a software engineering process which models: the roles people play in their interactions with a system the tasks they perform through the system, & the content of the system's interface

Usage-Centered Design

VCC: Research Structure Role and task models will be shown to key staff members to get feedback on the accuracy, inclusiveness, and relative importance of the roles and tasks depicted. An initial wireframe will be created based on the UCD models, and this will undergo a usability inspection by the client and key staff. A revised wireframe will undergo a second usability inspection. Limited usability test with a low-fidelity, paper prototype (an elaboration of the wireframe). Final revisions to wireframe & paper prototype.

Training Development Tools: What are the Issues Determine type of support needed to promote effective use of software Mini-tutorials or demonstrations Training modules Job aids Design and develop training development support

Training Development Tools: Research Structure Conduct mini-survey on types of trainings AT Priority Project would like to create using software tools Research accessibility issues and ease of use related to five different software tools. Based on results from mini-survey and research on accessibility and ease of use, identify two tools for inclusion in collaboratory

Training Development Tools: Research Structure Design and develop support for usage of associated features found in software tools Conduct usability testing and post survey of designed support Re-design and implement support Create plan for on-going evaluation of support
