FAQ’s Why we are offering the horizontal baluster kits with and without a bottom rail? Ease of take-offs and ordering. Everything that is needed to install between posts is included in one kit. What is the optimal tool needed to field cut the mesh? Large jaw cable cutters or bolt cutters. Is it suggested to treat the ends of horizontal balusters and or mesh when field modified? Cut rod ends can be treated with touch-up paint if there is concern near salt water. Can Horizontal Balusters and Mesh Rail be installed close to the coast or in a salt air environment? If so, what means of maintenance is recommended and at what intervals? Yes, maintenance as needed depending on environment. Is the Mesh Infill available for the vinyl series? If so, is it similar to Grandview which has a routed channel in the rails? Mesh Infill will be available in vinyl, upon special request. The vinyl rails will be pre-routed. Are Horizontal Balusters available in the Vinyl series? Yes, upon special request. Are the horizontal balusters a full length 6’ & 8’ for use in wood to wood applications? Yes the horizontal balusters measure 71” and 95” in length. The final inch is made up by the installation of the buttons/brackets. How does a contractor field cut A210 pre-built panels when the end balusters are notched? How will they keep the balusters from falling out? The pre-built panels are held together with compression connectors. The connectors can be moved to accommodate field modification.
