eDAMIS Web Application – What? A tool that allows a statistician in a CNA to transmit data to Eurostat from his own PC without installation on the statisticians PC. A statistician can access the application via an internet browser using a URL obtained from the person in the same organisation being responsible for the application. CNA = Competent National Authority CNA : Competent National Authority. eWA could be considered has the normal upgrade of previous stadium client. No revolution but continuous improvements. -Minimise installation on end user desktop -Use common technologies (Browser) and the advantages of not being able to make a complex interface (as HTML is really limited) => simpler interface where less training is necessary.

Transmit data to Eurostat via secured channels From any place (Your National Statistical Institute) To a single data entry point User-friendly interface and ease of access Access via a Web browser Reduce burden in CNA for statisticians and IT Full automation for data transmission is possible Light installation, easier upgrading, maintenance, support Better upgrading of centralised meta-information Adoption of Dataset Naming Convention 2
