Transportation Advisory Committee Welcome! Transportation Advisory Committee Second Meeting Monday, September 8, 2008 6:30 PM PHS Study Hall Area

Parameters….. Recommendations: must not decrease student learning time must not decrease in any significant way the economic efficiency of the transportation system must not increase in any significant way the congestion around the campus If accepted will not be implemented until fall 2009 at the earliest

Key Questions: Does the current system properly support our educational goals? Does the current system deliver students to school in the most efficient and effective manner? Can the current system be sustained beyond 2009 with the opening of Prairie Point, located a distance from the loading zone? Can the current system be sustained as the district grows on into the future?

A couple concerns expressed.. “Wow! Some much complexity… is this something we can do?” Our job is to create a “10,000 foot view” that the community can support! “Are we looking for effiencies or effectiveness?” Efficiency is good but our system must support our educational mission!

Thanks for coming, working hard, sharing and learning together! Next Meeting: Monday, September 22, 2008 6:30 PM at the PHS Study Hall Area Don’t forget to do your homework!
