Life Cycle of a Butterfly Mrs. Lschowicz’s Oct. 30th Oct. 30-31: ½ Days, Conferences Oct. 31: Wear your Halloween Costume to School(or bring it)! (No weapons or scary costumes.) Nov. 6: Picture Retakes Nov. 23 –24: Thanksgiving Break Important Dates Science Habitats Life Cycle of a Butterfly English Language Arts **Story: The Girl and the Chenoo (Junior Great Book) **Vocabulary: usually, imaginative, honor, smoke hole, recognized, wigwam Skill: Asking Questions Before, During, and After Reading **Phonics/Word Study: Check your child’s folder for his/her Spelling List with the new pattern. Grammar: Homophones (words that sound the same but have different spelling and mean something different like hear and here) **Test Friday Math Unit 2 Counting & Modeling Two & Three Digit Numbers Measuring with Tens Adding on the Open Number Line Thinking in Twos
